Basic Obedience

Dogs teach us to live in the present, embrace simplicity and embody fun.  In exchange we give them safety, comfort and companionship. Basic training seals that contract for both ends of the leash and is essential for keeping your dog safe and comfortable as a member of your household.

Develop or refresh your handling skills while your dog learns the basic skills of self-control: sit, down, stay, stand, wait, leave it, come and heel. This class addresses both management and training for being a good companion.

The AKC S.T.A.R. PUPPY program for dogs under 1 year is available in Basic Obedience classes taught by CGC Evaluators. Participation is not required to attend the class. For more information on the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program, read the AKC brochure.
