DOUBLE your impact this #GivingTuesday

100% of donations will be matched.

More and more, we are seeing pet crates or cardboard boxes left at our shelter’s doorstep. We often approach hoping for the best, but our hearts sink when we discover cold, hungry, and scared pets desperate for comfort and safety. These abandoned pets have no one else, and are depending on us. Thanks to your support, we’re able to provide emotional and physical healing for these helpless animals. This #GivingTuesday, your kindness and generosity will be matched to save TWICE as many lives!

The aPAWcalypse is coming on Saturday, October 28! This one-day adoption event features “ghosted” adoption fees (a.k.a. waived), plus wicked cute shelter animals will be dressed for the occasion (in costumes)! Don’t miss the perfect chance to add an MVP to your aPAWcalypse survival team!

Your dog loves you unconditionally, so why not take a moment to Make Your Dog’s Day? Join us Sunday, October 22, 2023 for a full day of live, virtual, and free webinars to celebrate and enrich your relationship with your dog!

You can put smiles on the faces of so many new pet families. We are determined to place 75 pets into new loving homes in just one day—on Saturday, September 7th—at our once-a-year adopt-a-thon event. But this can only happen if we raise $19,632 to meet the medical needs of all 75 animals, so they can be ready for adoption within two weeks. From kittens abandoned in Southern California to litters of puppies left on rural roads in the Central Valley, and dogs and cats rescued as part of Park Fire disaster relief to those at risk of euthanasia in Hawai’i—these shelter animals all have one thing in common: they need a second chance. With your support, there is hope.

Just Hours left to give and show your love!

Emmylou, Figgy, and Birdie remind you to donate before the year ends! Shelter dogs and cats like them can stay in our shelter for as long as it takes to receive loving care, medical treatments, and await the magical moment when someone special becomes their someone special. This is only possible with your donation, which means the world to each and every shelter animal who is saved through your generosity. Please show your love and support with a donation before 2024 ends!

ONE GOAL: More Kittens Survive this Kitten Season

Scared. Sick. Starving. Each spring, the Bay Area experiences an overwhelming number of abandoned newborn kittens in the fight for their lives. When these kittens arrive at our shelter, we are racing against time to provide life-saving warmth, hydration, nourishment, medical and around-the-clock care—all of which are immediately vital to reviving these fragile and rapidly declining lives.

Whether it’s newborns fading because they’ve been left alone cold and hungry for too long, young kittens with quickly progressing and life-threatening illnesses, or injured kittens suffering unimaginable pain, your donation today will provide the critical care they require.

The Park Fire grew to more than 383,000 acres—now one of the largest wildfires on record in the state. Chico Animal Shelter just reached out with an urgent plea for help. They desperately need their existing population to be transferred out, in order to house countless displaced fire victims. We rushed to Chico immediately to provide relief. Our shelter is already full, but our volunteers, fosters, and staff will rise to the occasion to welcome and care for the new transfers. Please make a donation and save lives with us during this challenging time for our community.
