End of Life Care
While euthanasia is never an easy decision, it takes a great deal of strength and love. When your dog or cat can no longer live with dignity and without pain, you may opt for euthanasia. Euthanasia is a humane way of ending the life of an animal that is suffering or experiencing a significant reduction in their quality of life. The causes may be varied, including illness or unrepairable injury. Euthanasia is designed to be a painless and relaxed process for your pet.
End of life services at Berkeley Humane are performed in accordance with the American Veterinary Medical Association guidelines by our experienced staff. The veterinarian will conduct an examination and will have discretion over if a euthanasia procedure will be performed.
