About the Class

This is a group behavior modification class that focuses on dog-to-dog behavior and leash reactivity.  Learn counter-conditioning, improve your handling and management of situations while you condition training routines that will help you and your dog relax in the face of over-stimulating events. Consistent use  of the routines and principles taught in class will assist you and your dog in developing relaxed behavior, changes that will make walks and outings more comfortable for both of you.

It takes commitment and skill to change  strong, driven behaviors so we immerse you and your dog in helpful techniques and routines.

Class Requirements

The best candidates for DWA class are dogs with a history of reacting badly to dogs either on or off leash in an aroused state, which includes hyper-vigilance, lunging, and a general inability to control themselves.  Handlers should be prepared to work with their dogs daily, following the protocols taught during the class sessions.

No dogs are allowed at the first class session, which will be an orientation.
