Berkeley Humane recently joined with two other organizations to relocate eighteen dogs that were living inside a small trailer outside Reno, Nevada
Lilo, a 10-year-old female, came to us from the municipal shelter in Kona as part of our Aloha Dog Project. Dogs are transported by tourists back to Berkeley to have a better chance at adoption.
Auryn (named after the Celtic word for gold), a 4-year-old female cat, came to us having been declawed by her owner who failed to provide her the proper medical care to heal appropriately. In addition to the pain, she was also malnourished because it was so difficult for her to move to get to her food.

Pints for Paws has partnered with global nonprofit Be The Match® as an official sponsor for the upcoming event on June 3rd, 2023. Be The Match connects patients with matching donors for life-saving bone marrow or blood stem cell transplants, will be joining the Pints for Paws festivities with a table at the event.
Voted Best Fundraising Event in the East Bay for several years, Pints for Paws will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 2-5pm (1 hour earlier for VIPs ticket holders) at 2700 Ninth Street, Berkeley. This annual event is organized by volunteers, so all funds raised go directly to the medical and behavioral needs of Berkeley Humane’s dogs and cats.
