How to Adopt Me

Meet me at the time/location above!

Hi, I’m Rory!

I’m a sweet, friendly orange cat with a sunny personality to match my fur. I’m super smart- I’ll pick up on your routine before you know it, and maybe you could even try to teach me some tricks! I love to be pet, especially on my cute face, and I’m happy to be picked up. Laying in the sunshine is one of my favorite hobbies, especially if it comes from a big window I can look out of. But the thing I love best of all is playtime! Whether it’s by myself or with you, I’m a young adult who needs a lot of stimulation. Do you need a sweet orange companion? Then I’m the perfect addition to your home!

When you adopt me, please keep me indoors-only. Not only will I have a longer life, but I will be healthier and safe from the many dangers the great outdoors can pose to a curious kitty like me. I could be lost or stolen and experience things like overexposure to direct sunlight, natural predators like coyotes, and vehicles which can all be hazards to my health.

A note from my foster:

Rory is a very sweet and intelligent cat. He only took about 20 minutes to adjust to his new room and was extremely curious about exploring the house and socializing with my housemates. Last night, he seemed to adjust perfectly to his new night routine and willingly walked himself inside when it was time for bed. He is pretty affectionate, loves rough pets on the head, neck, and face, and even lets us pick him up without protesting. He likes to nap in the sun and will wind down around sunset with plenty of cuddles. I say he’s intelligent because his communication is very easy to read. Although he’s calmed down significantly since the first visit, he is a still a young cat and needs lots of stimulation.
