Aloha Dog Project
Wondering why so many of the dogs have Hawaiian names and are wearing festive leis? It’s because they traveled over 2,300 miles to meet you! Berkeley Humane’s Aloha Dog Project involves tourists returning from Hawaii’s big island to rescue dogs for adoption here in the Bay Area. Due to pet overpopulation on the island and few adopters their chances at finding a loving home are limited. Once these dogs are here in California, they have the best opportunity to meet you and become part of your family. Please come visit us! Mahalo!
