Hi , I’m Malie!
A little about me – I was born as a free roaming dog in Hawaii, and most likely was not in the care of people until I was several months old. Because I did not socialize with people too often during my early months of life, meeting new people can be daunting for me. With patience and support from my foster parents, I have become more confident as time goes on, but I may always be nervous meeting new people in my home. Therefore, I’ll need a very quiet home with experienced caregivers (and no busy kids running around), that way I can feel safe in my space. I am very social with other dogs, and I gain confidence from having a dog buddy, so I will need to go to a home that has a friendly and social dog to help me come out of my shell! I have a big heart and a tranquil nature that will make for a very loyal and loving companion to the right person.
