About the Class

Does your dog do tricks?  Tricks are fun and entertaining for you and your dog as well as providing both mental and physical stimulation. You can earn your dog’s trick titles by sending us videos. Register any time during the month shown.

Online Evaluation Process

1. Teach tricks to your dogs at home. Find list for each category here.
2. Register for this Online Trick Title evaluation. Once you register, you can submit videos at any time.  There  is no set date or period of time.
3. Submit the following to trainthebay@berkeleyhumane.org:
   1. The link to a video of your dog performing the tricks. The preferred formats are YouTube and Vimeo
   2. After you register, you will receive a link to your video submission form along with instructions for recording and submitting your video.
4. The Evaluator will review the video. Once the evaluator reviews and approves the video, you will receive a copy of the video verification form:
   1. to you confirming that the dog passed the test
   2. You will need to submit a title application form and obtain a Canine Pals or other AKC registration number with your verification form: http://images.akc.org/pdf/Trick_Dog_Title_Application.pdf
   3. to AKC at trickdog@akc.org
   4. If a trick does not pass, the evaluator will give you feedback on improving it.
