AKC-Virtual Home Manners Evaluation

Virtual Home Manners (VHM) is the answer when you want to train your dog at home. When you get a puppy or new adult dog, Virtual Home Manners can get you started on practical skills before you attend a training class

Online Evaluation Process

1. Download the evaluation form from https://www.akc.org/products-services/training-programs/canine-good-citizen/akc-family-dog-program/virtual-home-manners/forms-for-titles/
3. Submit the following to trainthebay@berkeleyhumane.org:
   1. The link to a video of your dog performing the exercises. The preferred formats are YouTube and Vimeo
   2. After you register, you will receive confirmation email with a link to your video submission form.
4. The Evaluator will review the video. Once the evaluator reviews and approves the video, you will receive a copy of the compleed and signed video verification form:
   1. Confirming that the dog passed the tests or not.
   2. You will need to submit a title application form and obtain a Canine Pals or other AKC registration number with your verification form:
   3. to AKC at https://www.apps.akc.org/title-application-portal/
   4. If a exercise does not pass, the evaluator will give you feedback on improving it.
