About the Class
- This is a 4 week class. All sessions are held in our training center. During the first three class sessions, dogs and handlers will have an opportunity to practice all ten exercises required for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. The test will take place during the fourth class session.
Canine Good Citizen is a title and certification bestowed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) showing that your dog can demonstrate appropriately calm and safe behavior during everyday activities, around people and other dogs. Those who pass the test will receive a certificate from the AKC and are entitled to wear the CGC insignia. This is required for potential service and therapy dogs.
