About the Test

This is the test for dogs to obtain the American Kennel Club (AKC) Community Canine (CGCA) certification. All those who pass will receive a certificate from American Kennel Club, and will be entitled to wear the CGCA insignia. This test is given outdoors in an urban setting.

Test Requirements

Recommended for dogs (mixed or purebred) over 4 months of age who are prepared to take the test. Your dog should be adequately trained to perform the requirements without food rewards, reprimands or corrections and current with all core vaccinations.
