About the Class

Welcome to Scent Work  2-Intermediate Challenge. This class will work on a combination of searches off site for the 4 odors used in sport: Birch, Anise, Clove and Cypress.  It will introduce more challenging scent problems in exteriors, vehicles and interiors (when available)  Each dog/handler team will work at their own level.

Instructor Nancy Frensley is a certified Scent Work instructor and AKC Scent Work Judge. This class offers a class curriculum that is suitable to prepare your dog for competitions.

Class Requirements

Recommended for dogs over 8 months of age who have taken a class introducing the search with food and toys and an initial exposure to sport odors. Handlers should be familiar with basic handling for searches.  Dogs must be able to stay in a vehicle, or wait quietly with their handlers when other dogs are workig. Vaccinations: Your dog should be current with all core vaccinations.

Dogs must have been introduced to at least one sport odor prior to taking the class.  Some food pairing will be offered for those just beginning on odor.
