      About the Class

Tricks are a great way to pass the time on rainy days or any time you want to have fun and games with your dog. Get your dog ready for pet therapy visits or to  entertain guests at parties! Learn to capture, lure, and shape your dog’s natural behaviors into a variety of  entertaining tricks and make up your own. Tricks enhance visits for therapy dogs, increase engagement, burn energy and keep older dogs fit.

This is a 4 session class that meets Weekly and is held live in our behavior and training facility.

Class Requirements

Recommended for the dog over 4 months of age who has enough basic obedience training to focus on you during class.  Your dog should be current with all core vaccinations. During this class, the instructor may handle your dog and some work may be done off leash.  This class is not appropriate for reactive dogs who have issues with dogs and/or people. We supply trick equipment in class but you should consider obtaining or making anything you need to practice tricks at home.  It’s creative and fun to put together equipment for tricks.  You will also need lots of very small, easily consumed treats for all all sessions, and for home practice.  Clickers are encouraged but not necessary.  We teach with both clickers and verbal markers.
