Free Community Pet Services – December 6 & 7

Berkeley Humane, in partnership with La Russa Rescue Champions, Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation, BISSELL Foundation, and Maddie’s Fund, are grateful to offer free spay/neuter surgeries in Pinole and a vaccination clinic in Berkeley for pet families during these challenging economic times.

Free Vaccine & Microchip

Services Offered: 

  • Core Vaccines: Rabies, DAPP (dogs), FVRCP (cats)
  • Flea & tick prevention
  • Dewormer
  • Microchip

Important Information:

  • No appointment required — please be prepared to wait for service.
  • All dogs must be on leash and all cats must be in a secure carrier.
  • Animals that are visibly ill will not be vaccinated.
  • Please bring your pet’s previous vaccination records, especially if requesting a Rabies vaccination. This helps our team provide the best care.
  • Our medical team reserves the right to refuse service for any animal.

Free Spay & Neuter

Eligibility:

  • Pet(s) must be between 4 months to 5 years old.
  • Cats must weigh 3lbs or more. Dogs must weigh between 4-50lbs.
  • Dogs are required by CA law to be vaccinated for rabies. Dogs without current documentation will be vaccinated at the time of surgery.
  • We cannot offer services to any brachycephalic (flat faced) breeds such as French Bulldogs, Persians, etc.
  • Pets may be declined for surgery if they present an increased risk for complications.

Important Information:

  • Located inside PetSmart, Pinole (rear right corner).
  • A $25 non-refundable deposit for the spay/neuter appointment is required, and will not be refunded for missed appointments.
