Foster Program Manager
Make a Life-Saving Difference
Summary: At Berkeley Humane, foster care and volunteer engagement are at the heart of our life-saving mission. As Foster Program Manager, you’ll lead both programs building a compassionate, efficient, and community-centered foster program that gives vulnerable animals a second chance. You’ll work closely with volunteers and staff to recruit, train, and support foster caregivers, ensuring that each animal receives the love and care they need on their path to adoption.
This is more than a management role—it’s a mission. You’ll be the bridge between animals in need and the people who open their homes and hearts to help them heal, grow, and thrive.

Relief Veterinary Hospital Assistant
SUMMARY: The Relief Veterinary Hospital Assistant works closely with the Veterinarian and is responsible for aiding the veterinary team in accordance with standard and acceptable veterinary practices, particularly in a shelter medicine environment. In addition, the Relief Veterinary Hospital Assistant will perform certain duties of a non-medical nature that will facilitate Hospital administration and engender positive relations with public Hospital clients and ensure the highest possible standards of care for Berkeley Humane’s animals.
