Many pet parents dread nail trims as much as their dogs! But it's important to a dog's health and it can be easy!

Dr. Crystal Heath from Berkeley Humane and Annie the dog demonstrate how easy it can be to trim your dog’s nails at home!

It’s easy to do by yourself, but if you dog is especially nervous about getting their nails trimmed (or even touched!) get a friend or family member to help out. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Have a good high-valued treat
  2. Keep your dog focused on the treat so it’s a positive experience
  3. If your dog gets nervous, stop for a break
