Halloween is going to the dogs (and cats!) at Berkeley Humane’s 3rd Annual aPAWcalypse, happening Saturday, October 25, 2025, at PetSmart Pinole. This Halloween pet adoption event brings together costumes, community, and compassion — and it could be the day you meet your new best friend.
Adoptable Pets in Costume at a Bay Area Halloween Adoption Event
Dozens of adoptable cats and dogs will be dressed in festive costumes, ready to show off their playful personalities and charm their way into new homes. While the costumes are for fun, the mission is serious: to save lives by connecting shelter pets with loving families across the Bay Area.
“aPAWcalypse is the opposite of scary! It’s a perfect combination of fun and lifesaving impact,” said Jeffrey Zerwekh, Executive Director of Berkeley Humane. “It’s a chance for families to celebrate the season, meet incredible pets, and learn how Berkeley Humane is building a stronger safety net for animals across the Bay Area.”
